As a part of Civic Learning Week, this event aims to educate TC students and New York state residents on media literacy and how it can affect civic readiness. Participants will learn about efforts thus far to advance media literacy education and share their stories with legislators. Featuring staff from Assemblymember Daniel O’Donnell's office, Nan Mead, the Director of Outreach and Communications at the Center for Educational Equity at Teachers College, and Chris Sperry of Project Look Sharp, and student perspective from Katie Loos.
